1° STOP

L’ANTRO DEL CORCHIA

The Monte Corchia system, with 53 km of galleries and pools, is one of the most important karstic systems in Europe and the largest in Italy. The difference in almost 1,200m of altitude between the highest opening to the bottom of the cave is one of the marvels of the site. The structural complexity of the cave is what makes the Corchia karstic system so unique, characterized by a network of openings in the marble and dolomite rock, which is approximately 2 km in length, 1 km in width and almost 1,200 m in height. An established path, about 1km in length, goes inside the mountain for those who want to get familiar with the wonders of the cave system.

2° STOP

APUAN ALPS

The village of Levigliani, at the entrance to the Antro, can be the starting point for easy to difficult hikes towards the refuges and the peaks of the Apuan Alps. These can be done independently or accompanied by expert guides who can competently describe the mountain area.

3° STOP

LE POLLE DI MALBACCO

Walk in the open for about 3km from the town of Molbacco and you will arrive at these famous waterfalls and pools where you can take a dip in the cold water. The scenery is extremely beautiful, and the moving water has shaped the rocks, building slides, ravines, pools and puddles of turquoise water.
